Of paleontology

When in Drumheller viewing the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology is a must!

As a token of our appreciation for coming all the way out to Drumheller we've negotiated a deal where we can purchase multiple tickets for entry into the museum at 20% off. This discount applies to adult, senior and youth tickets (not family passes.) For more information please view the Tyrrell admissions page.

These tickets would even be good for two years if you don't use them for the weekend of our wedding. Please let us know if you're interested in this offer as soon as possible so we can make an order.

The Ceremony Site

This is where the ceremony will be held. It is on the first plateau of the Badlands Interpretive Trail (beside the Royal Tyrrell Museum.) Remember to wear comfy shoes! It will be a short ceremony, but if you are uncomfortable with standing or the weather is unpleasant to you please feel free to go straight to the reception site at Midland Hall where refreshments will be provided.

The Home

Although not directly related to the wedding cememony & reception we've had a big month in terms of our life together. Many of you have been aware that we've been looking for a home already, figuring that this is a better time of year to be buying (as many of us know what the market in Calgary has been like in the past year). Many of you may not be aware that we have found a home & have moved in! We moved in December 1st and have been settling in ever since & making the place our home. We were lucky to have furniture and other home items donated to us from family. We also had financial help from my Nanny. We've had some house guests already: Michelle's sister's family; Heather, Aaron & Connor and Michelle's mom Evelyn. Michelle's dad Brien (and Elaine) will be our guests too in the near future.

It's a townhouse condo in a very well-kept complex that is minutes walk from Dalhousie train station. It even has a rec centre for us to use that includes a large party room, swimming pool and gym. We've various ambitious projects that we want to undertake inside the home like painting the fireplace. We can't wait to get some art on the walls: they're nice and big for large paintings. It's a great start for us--better than we could have ever wished for.

We've a MC for the wedding: our good friend Chris Hsiung. He is well experienced in public speaking & has lots of wisdom & insight to share.

Last Friday Michelle ordered her dress!!

Cam picked out a suit that he wants to rent as well.

Fotos:The Decision

We're very pleased to announce that we've chosen a photographer for our wedding: Alan Maudie of Calgary. (We made the decision awhile ago now--haven't got around to updating the blog). We're thrilled to have Alan's talent recording our wedding!
